One of the companies I subcontract for has a welding shop.  We have no end
of trouble with interference on both the voice and data lines (i.e. standard
phone, and 100mb/s cat5)

There's audible noise on the phones, faxes frequently fail, and there are
intermittant network problems.

But the welders are a special case.  They create some sort of high-frequency
feedback on the lines.  On the other side of that, ever seen what running the
microwave does to the average telivision?
