[wplug] Linux newbie

Sometime in October Sino Kaya assaulted the keyboard and produced:

I'd download knoppix and give it a try. You can boot off of the disk and
you don't have to install anything. If you're happy with it, I'd go with
fedora desktops computer and debian for servers. If you don't feel
comfortable installing Linux or if you just want to learn some new stuff,
I'd suggest that you come to the next Installfest (Nov. 13 according to
wplug.org). If you can get your computer to cmu on Nov 13, there should be
a bunch of people there to help you install everything.
