I've recently heard about an event happening in Cleveland in April called 
Notacon (http://www.notacon.org/)  It's guaranteed to be at least partly 
computer related.

It's a bit more expensive than the other one ($50), so I'm signing on as a 
volunteer in hopes of getting reduced admission.

I'd be interested in bumming a ride from someone-- being carless, my current 
plan is to take Greyhound.
