In reply to Larry Weber, and following on the heels of John Harrold, I
present a list of (what I believe to be) the most popular programs for
burning CDs in Linux. Specifically, they are all front-ends to various
other command-line programs.

I'd imagine that they'd all work with your setup, but you'll probably
want to check-out the particulars on the website.

arson - "KDE frontend to various CD burning, and ripping tools"
   http://arson.sourceforge.net/

CDRX.pl - Text-based front-end for mkisofs and cdrecord
   http://cdrx.sourceforge.net

K3b - "K3b is a GUI frontend to [...] cdrdao and cdrecord"
   http://k3b.sourceforge.net/

X-CD-Roast - GUI front-end for mkisofs and cdrecord
   http://www.xcdroast.org

I'd be somewhat surprised if they have RPMs available for RedHat 8, but
you can probably compile them without too much hassle.

There are likely other programs which you could find on Freshmeat
(http://freshmeat.net/) and/or SourceForge (http://www.sourceforge.net/)
