Well I'll propose my idea and see what people think:

I live near the Steel Valley school district and got a pamphlet in the
mail about Continuing Education offerings from the district. Most of
the classes seem centered around hobby activities and very specific
(basic) professional skills: Fitness, Create Excel Spreadsheets, Basic
Karate, etc. At the end of the pamplet was short paragraph in tiny
writing that explained how to get involved in offering classes and I
know there are other orgs out there that do the same thing. My thought
was if wplug was interested, we could develop core curricula for a
couple of basic offerings and make the curricula available to members
who wants to teach a class in their local vicinity. If there is enough
interest, we could consider organizing further, but at the very least
its another way for us to reach out to the community.

Thoughts and reactions?
