Theoretically Brother, at one point, made a converter - but it's likely it
was Windoze.  Still, you might take a look at the source:

I have a bunch of stuff from college that was written on a Brother Word 
Processor.  I still have the floppy disks. 

Does anyone know of an emulation program or other method in which I 
could read those data files from my Linux machine?
