Well it all seems to get DIY very quickly.
Mention Linux to many ISPs even the ones
who have Linux servers and they are sort of
reluctant to want people using Linux. My sort
of impression is they feel that Linux users will
get into too much trouble. My ISP is of the
"oh well if you want to do it..." sort of tone.

All my graphic arts friends here that some
movies have had their SFX done on Linux
and others on BSD but if it is not a MAC or
a PC supporting the Adobe top of the line
they don't want to hear it. Whereas I think
I might get the POV or other Ray Tracer
running a do a neat movie eventually.
Now if I can just get a version of GIMP that
looks the same on Windows and Linux I will
be a very happy camper.

Speaking of things how has USB support been
going under Linux. I should poke around and
look but anyone knows what is up that would be
real nice.

Note well down here in West Virginia, sometimes
mentioned one is involved with computers is like
saying one is a Satanitst who sacrifices dogs at the
New Moon or something like that.

Have Fun,
Sends Steve
