I remembe my furst GUM, as it wasn't all that long ago. Evan brought me, and
I really didn't talk to anybody. I just listened in on a bunch of
conversations (like with newsgroups or message boards). I'm something of an
introvert, and having a stranger try to guide me arround would be more
uncomfortable for me. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I have often
been in groups with a greeter that wouldn't leave you allone if this was
your first time.

I guess all I'm saying is: don't go overboard with the frienlyness, it may
put off some of the more introverted geeks.
