[wplug-board] chairs report for 1/13/06 meeting

Here's the Vice-Chair's report for today:

* I have received a request for an Ubuntu CD, I hope to mail it
out after the meeting along with a WPLUG flyer.

* The PR committee has met and generated some activity (the
details should go in the committee's report but are documented on
the wiki at
<http://wplug.ece.cmu.edu/wiki/index.php/Image:PRMinutes1.pdf>).
We want to try a few things like CD distribution, exposure in
local media, and direct mail to increase awareness of WPLUG in
the area.

* A study group for learning the body of knowledge for LPI or
another Linux certification is forming with support from WPLUG
<http://wplug.ece.cmu.edu/wiki/index.php/Study_Group>.

I agree wholeheartedly with Patrick's last three paragraphs.
