HackPittsburgh is a makerspace in the Uptown neighborhood of Pittsburgh. It is located at 1936 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. The entrance to the shop is around the back of the building next to the garage doors, accessible from Watson Street near its intersection with Jumonville Street. See the Google map or plug the address into your favorite mapping site.

Directions[edit]

From Downtown: Take Forbes Avenue east toward Oakland. Turn left onto Jumonville Street and find a place to park on the street.

From Oakland: Take Fifth Avenue west toward downtown. Turn left onto Gist Street, then take the first left onto Watson Street. You can park off to the right side of the alleyway, or turn left onto Jumonville Street and find a place to park there.

From points south: Take the Liberty Tunnel/Bridge to Crosstown Boulevard (I-579). Take the Centre Avenue exit, getting into the right lane. At the traffic signal, turn right onto Washington Place and then get into the leftmost lane. At the second traffic signal, turn left onto Forbes Avenue going east toward Oakland. Turn left onto Jumonville Street and find a place to park on the street.

From points north: Take the Veterans Bridge and after crossing the Allegheny River, take the 7th Avenue exit and stay in the rightmost lane. Turn right at the stop sign onto 7th Avenue, then turn left onto either Grant Street or Smithfield Street. Turn left onto Forbes Avenue going east toward Oakland. Turn left onto Jumonville Street and find a place to park on the street.

On-street parking is available in the surrounding area.

Bus Info[edit]

Within a block are stops at 5th and Wyandotte (inbound) and 5th and Seneca (outbound). These are served by the Port Authority's 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, 67, 69, 71A, 71B, 71C, and 71D buses.
