[wplug] Help with an investigating some unknown disk activity.

Hi,

I am experiencing periodic disk activity that I cannot determine what is 
actually happening.  I have had kept an eye on logs, run sar.  But it 
only tells me (FWICT) when a disk read/write occurs. So what utility can 
I use to narrow down what my HDD is doing during these occasions when it 
sounds like its an engine idling up and down for about 5 to 10 seconds 
and nothing for... a minute or so?
