[wplug] X mouse capture problem

Hi all,

I've done some searching but could not find a solution.

I'm running KDE on xorg and I have an application that captures the mouse.
Sometimes this application crashes leaving the mouse unresponsive.

The keyboard still responds but I need a way to restore the mouse 
(uncapture?).

While restarting X (either via menu or CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE) gets the mouse 
going I'd like to find a way to restore the mouse without restarting X.

Is there an X program to do this?
Any application writers out there that could pass along a mouse API command to 
fix this?
