I use gentoo on my eeepc and it runs fine. I have a 4G and there's about 1G left.

I use openbox as window manager(without gnome or anything).

The only grievance I have with the eeepc is that they placed the speakers on the side of the screen which takes room uselessly imo.

they could have put them underneath and would have had a wider screen.
