The choices aren't to great up here in the woods here in Jefferson
county. I have been with Verizon for three years using the Modem-router.
They gave me a package that allows me to call anywhere in US talk as
long as you want as a local call plus all the phone options , caller id,
call waiting, conference calling and the works along with their highest
speed DSL which varies some what from day to day which they say will go
a lot faster when they get me hooked to the fiber optic lines which are
here not but not hooked to my house yet for $69.95 a month which is
cheaper for me than the bill I used to get when I had basic phone
service with long distance, because most calls my wife and I make to
friends and relatives were toll. The DSL has worked very well here for
me. Ed
