Sorry for a lower-level question; why not in /media? (or is that
distro-dependent for RH5 AS?)

Thanks

First off, *NEVER* use "msdos" as type, use "auto" or "vfat" or you
can dork up the long filenames (among other things).

Secondly, "Project Utopia" does several things ...
A. You *NEVER* want to mount in /media
B. The device is now /dev/fd/*, and you want to let udev, dbus,
hotplug, gnome-vfs, etc... manage it

Read up on "Project Utopia" and what it does for you.
