Actually, I just checked my /etc/modules.conf in both Fedora Core 6 and
Fedora 7 and there are no EHCI/OCHI (USB controller) lines at all.

As Jon mentioned, everything is pretty dynamically loaded now.  The
approach is losely called "Utopia" (udev, dbus, gnome-vfs, etc...), at
least if you are running GNOME.

So, what does "dmesg" give you as well as "lsusb"?
