[wplug] No video on docking station

I placed my laptop on the docking station with the screen up (to have access
to the Fn keys on the thinkpad keyboard). When grub loaded, and as kubuntu
was starting services, the video was displayed on my main screen. Just
before the login screen appeared the video jumped to my laptop screen. I was
able to login and utilize the keyboard, mouse, and speakers which are
attached to the docking station. Because of this I'm assuming now that it
definitely is a video problem and not one of the peripherals attached to the
docking station. Trying to switch display sources (Fn+F7) had no effect.

The following entries were in my system log from one of my failed boots. The
MTRR entries do not appear when my system boots undocked. I've looked around
and found that MTRR stands for "Memory Type Range Registers" and does affect
video memory but that's about it.

Does pressing Fn-F7, or whatever keystroke cycles through video output
options (it's Fn-F7 on my T-23), bring the monitor to life?
