Well, your question was very general and didn't pique my interest.
The request for a general talk on the subject, in a forum
(face-to-face discussion) which I personally prefer over listserv,
seems like a good usage of my time.  Sorry to sound callous, but doing
a general survey of PKI and its implementations, via email, isn't
interesting to me.
