For those using or experimenting with Asterisk(@Home), I recently spoke with the 
owner of a local VoIP provider, John Curry of Curry IP Solutions, 
http://www.curryip.com.  He said that his company can offer residential 
registrations for Asterisk users, giving your system a PSTN number without 
needing a POTS line at your premises.  I know other such providers, but I was 
happy to find someone local in WPA.  And, their prices are competitive with Vonage.
