I think copying the CD images to a file server is the right approach.
You'll have more flexibility on access control that way, as well as
backup protection.

As for actually running the proprietary viewing software, you can
round up the usual suspects -- dosemu, wine, qemu, xen -- and probably
use VNC to export whatever approach works.
