The Gullibility Virus message has already been mentioned. I keep an
updated copy <http://www.bidlum.net/gv.txt> available for those who
may want to make use of it. I did not originate this, but I have been
updating and circulating it for many, many years. I find a copy sent
to the originator of the hoax, and possibly cc'ed to the recipients
actually works pretty well. YMMV.

The other thing you may want to do is to introduce your students (and
their parents -- make it something they could do together) to critical
thinking and information evaluation concepts. The group of links in the
latter part of the GV text will assist you in this, and could also form
the basis of an Internet orientation course.
