Hello,

I am running a suse 9 on my pcg-frv26 sony laptop. I
have a dual partition with XP. I face the following
problems. Can any one suggest a way out?

1)I am using thunderbird as my mail tool. It is really
nice. However I find that if I try to open mozilla
when thunderbird is already open, I can not open the
program. But I can open thunderbird if I open mozilla
first. Is any one experiencing the same problem like
this? One more thing is that, if I close the
thunderbird by using the x button, and then if I do a
ps -ax, I can still see thunderbird as suspended form.
Why is it like that?

2)I can not write on my windows partition. It is an
NTFS system. Is there any way to achieve this?

3)I use ethernet connection with a static ip at work
and I use a dial-up at home. I use kppp for dial up
since kinternet (wvdial) does not allow me to have a
terminal based connection. University of Pittsburgh
connection requires that. Everything works fine except
that each time I change the mode of connection, I have
to go to yast and change the network card settings
from static to dhcp. I read at some places that
kinternet (suse's default internet dial up program)
takes care of this thing by itself. Can I do the same
thing with KPPP?

Thanking you,

With best regards,

Dileep
