[wplug] Knoppix issue after HD install

I just installed Knoppix 3.3 to a hardrive just to see how it works. 
Everything is fine except the keyboard is crazy some letters work fine 
and others are really weird, like all uppercase.  @ comes up as | and 
letters are backwards  but a few work fine. Anybody have a clue or has 
anybody else had this problem? Thanks, Ed
