Sometime in February Steven Leach assaulted the keyboard and produced:

terms of service

| Can you get a static IP with cable?
|
| I would rather not be stuck paying for dynamic dns (the free services
| won't let me use my own domain name).

do you really need a static ip? if you just want to be able to access your
computer, you can use dyndns.org to map your dynamic ip to a hostname. i
don't know how much it costs to use your own host name (as opposed to
bob.homeip.net), but i have to think it's cheaper than getting a static ip.
