Sometime in November Brian Tarbox assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| Sir,
| I noticed your post this month about fedora and matlab. Have you
| determined if they work together?
| I'm currently running RedHat Taroon (its the only RH version that seemed to
| suport serial ata disks), but Taroon will not run the MatLab gui. Many
| java related GUIs fail/are unstable under Taroon.

i've found the java front end for matlab to be unstable under pretty much
any version of redhat. the only think i really use the java stuff for is
searching throught he documentation for help. other than that, i don't
normally use the gui.

| Have you gotten the MatLab gui and Fedora to place nice together? Thank
| you.

for the reasons you stated above, i havent really tried it. i have fedora
installed on one of our computers here, so if there is something specific
you want me to try out, i'd be happy to do it.
