Sometime in May bgtrio at yahoo.com assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| Does anyone know of a good cd copying program for linux that will do
| low-level copying rather than just an iso image? I'd like to make backups
| (really!) of some of my game cd's that will still work if the original
| gets scratched/whatever. Many of these cd's unfortunately have copy
| prevention that makes it difficult to make backups.

dd?

# dd if=/dev/hdc of=/tmp/file.img

where hdc is the device for your cdrom drive
