[wplug] how to network two computers

Hello,

I would like to network my two computers at home using Linux. One of them
is a Mac G3 Power Book running OS X (soon to be partitioned and running
Linux) and a HP 4450 (no network card) that runs Slackware.  Currently, I
connect to the Internet by 56kbps dialup (ugh!) with the 4450. So, what do
I need to do to get both of them talking to each other and connected to
the web at the same time? Can a dialup line be shared? Do I have to buy a
network card for my HP? If so, do they make hubs/switches that use a phone
line as the uplink?

Can anybody suggest documentation that I should read to get started?
