I can't remeber how much of this was already mentioned, but as per the 
above message:

On Red Hat 8.0 & 9, the command "redhat-config-services" (as root) will 
bring up the list of all the services available; if apache is installed 
it will be listed as "httpd".  "rpm -q httpd" will also tell you if 
it's installed.  "httpd-2.0.40-8.i386.rpm" should be the result for 
8.0.

My CDs of Red Hat 8.0 were on three discs, with apache's rpm on Disc 2.  
The full set includes several that are just documentation and sources, 
but the two or three main discs include all the binaries (although 
iIrc, 8.0 was only five discs).
