I use it. Selected it years ago. At the time one of its main features
was that it packaged a large number of applications, it came in 4 or 5
CDs, unlike 1 or 2 CDs for other distros.

Suse comes in two flavors, personal and professional. The pro version
comes with 7 CD and a DVD which has the contents of all the CDs. Comes
with pakages for setting web/mail/nfs/etc. servers, desktop, software
development, good printed manuals, etc., etc. The personal version has
less software and is meant for a desktop user.

Don't know of many people using it here, most people use RH, Mandrake or
Debian.

It's extremely stable, is well integrated, no nonsense developers, very
useful mailing list and other benefits I can think of and I take for
granted. It releases about twice a year.
