Nope, the 1024 cylinder limit (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=98080)
applies only to ancient BIOSes and OSes.
Don't know much about dual processors other than the absolutely
necessary : CONFIG_SMP in the kernel. :-)
Modern distributions detect multi-CPU machines and install SMP-enabled
kernels.
