I'm a bit confused here -- what would you be using "-2" or the "other
commands" on? gtv? plaympeg?

Well, as far as I can tell, gtv and plaympeg aren't the same _program_,
but they use the same library (smpeg) to decode MPEG video.

Which software?

Well, welcome to Linux :-) Might I suggest joining the list? It's
relatively low-traffic and generally is easier to read through your
email than through wplug.org. Additionally, if you need in-person help,
we have meetings the first Saturday of every month and install-fests
(when bringing your machine is encouraged, and not just if you want to
install Linux) the second Saturday of every other month.
