[wplug] Sony IDE Supertation in Linux

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a Sony SuperStation internal IDE 
tape drive with Linux?  I've been doing a lot of searching on this subject 
and everything I've found seems to be circa-1999.  Does anyone know if 
newer version of the Kernel can support this drive?  From what I've read so 
far, the 2.2.0 kernel IDE tape drive driver could not use the SuperStation, 
but as I said this is all mid-1999 stuff.  Anyone have newer information?
