 The following article doesn't mention Beowulf, but I get the impression
it is the type of thing Beowulf is intended to do:

I don't know how current this article about Shell assembling 1024 IBM
servers into a Linux-based supercomputer is.  I think it is from
archives and could be a few months old, but it gives a good example of
such uses.
