I'm ok with that. Real php is better than non-existant java (or
whatever else). I do think we should continue devel on lain though. If

What does this mean? There is a board list established
(wplug-board at wplug.org). No one is subscribed, but that can be remedied
:) Is this a discussion to have here or should we present it to plan?
As I see it, the board needs a method of discussion and a method for
voting. -board sounds like a fun place for discussion, so I guess what
we really need is a voting mechanism. As I recall, it would have to
accept submissions of proposals, and have a mechanism to vote.
Somebody, read: Mr. DiBiase ;-), should read the bylaws again to figure
out what the actual procedure is for voting.

The only instance of the light font on light background I see is as you
say, when link has pointer focus. If that was eliminated I wouldn't
cry.
