Do you want to help out WPLUG by giving a talk or hosting a meeting?

Would you like see successful General Users Meetings with:
members showing up on time
welcoming guests
business addressed in an orderly fashion
adequate time for technical presentation to cover all material
?

I suggest anyone with a vested interest in the quality of WPLUG
meeting to sit in on a Toastmasters International meeting.
This non-profit organization is about training people to be better
speakers and leaders. As a result, the standards for conducting
meetings are high while still preserving a fun and supportive
educational environment.

The first meeting of Jefferson Hills/Pleasant Hills Area Toastmasters
will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, May 6, 2009
Panera Bread, Southland Shopping Center.

If you can't make it, there are dozens of Toastmasters clubs in the
greater Pittsburgh area. Just go to the website and drop in on any
open club:

Like WPLUG, meetings at open clubs are free to the general public but
membership is advised for regular attenders.

Please feel free to respond to this thread with your questions
concerning how observing a Toastmasters meeting could help WPLUG
become a more effective organization via successful meetings.

Thanks,
Beth Lynn Eicher
