Beth Lynn asked me to forward this. Thus, I am doing so. My intent is to
clearly document the stance of WPLUG such that it is known and can be
referred to should the issue escalate.

We need to hold our relation with CMU before the relation with any
individual member. I would vote for informing Steve that CMU has
contacted us concerning his presence. Perhaps the following might
suffice.

Steve,

It has been brought to the attention of the WPLUG Board members by <X>,
<their title> at CMU, that your presence on the CMU campus last week may
have caused some concern. It is our understanding that an issue may have
occurred in the past where you had been asked not to return to CMU.

WPLUG does not wish to be involved in your personal affairs. If this
allegation is true, please keep it in mind when deciding to attend WPLUG
events or functions that are held on the CMU campus. We do not need and
are not asking for any further information or explanation from you
concerning this matter.

If we are asked by CMU or other parties concerning your presence at any
past or future meetings, we will divulge the information in a clear and
honest manner. WPLUG will not actively pursue any third parties concerns over
this matter.

We would like to make it known that your membership is valuable to us.
Please contact the parties at CMU to resolve the issue, if possible.

Regards,
The WPLUG Board
