The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Western Pennsylvania Linux Users Group was held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 7:45 PM at the IBM offices in Squirrel Hill, the regular presiding officer being in the chair and the secretary being present. The minutes of the April 21, 2015 meeting were approved as distributed.

The Chair reported that the MariaDB database server crashed again, and he made a configuration tweak to the InnoDB buffer pool to hopefully make it more stable.

The Secretary reported that there are currently 18 members.

The Treasurer reported that there is $454.56 in the checking account with $12.50 recently paid to Linode for hosting expenses.  The refreshment fund balance has not changed.

Pat Barron stated that he has investigated several parks for the summer picnic, and that only county parks were within our cost range.  He stated that he would try to find out availability in North Park.  Vance Kochenderfer moved to authorize the Treasurer to spend up to $50.00 to reserve a picnic venue.  The motion was adopted.

Vance Kochenderfer moved to select July 11 as the date for the July General User Meeting at HackPittsburgh, subject to availability of the venue.  The motion was adopted.
