The minutes of the June 7, 2011 and June 28, 2011 meetings were approved as read.

Jim Harris volunteered to help with this effort. The Vice-Chair also reported that he has printed WPLUG business cards and distributed them at the meeting. In addition, he noted that curtains have been installed in the auditorium of the Wilkins School Community Center which may help the acoustics of the room.

Jon "maddog" Hall will be speaking at an event in Fairmont, West Virginia on September 22. Nicholas Schembri has been lined up to talk about MySQL replication at the October General User Meeting, and Don Vosburg to talk about SUSE in November. It was suggested that it may be possible to arrange an on-site visit at ASPstation's data center in late October. The committee reported that Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip District has been secured as a venue for Software Freedom Day.
