When you connect a sniffer to a port that is configured for mirroring you will loose connectivity because the switch-port is just pushing packets out and not setup to accept packets. You wont be able to get an IP address or anything like that. You sniffers will still work though.. Just fire up wireshark or whatever you are using and point it to the network card that is plugged into the mirrored port.<br>
