David,<br><br>That link is what led my searches towards a solution. I had to remake my initrd image from a rescue disc. In hindsight, I probably didn't need to do away with the labels in fstab at all. But it's simplier without them. The same reason I chose not to use LVM when I originally did this install. :)<br>
