You talk about supporting linux right out of the box, but really, if you say that, you mean you want it to have an ext2/3 filesystem. How hard is it to format the drive? I wouldn't choose to use ntfs even if my kernel did support it cause why risk it? Use a linux filesystem. IBM JFS is nice and won't take an hour to format either.<br>

Digital drive. Granted, she's using it under WinBlows (I've been after<br>her for a year and a half to dual-boot Ubuntu, to no avail), but Gentoo<br>claims that the chip is supported.<br><br>A weekend project, maybe?<br>
