Hello,

I've been trying Ubuntu for a while, and overall I'm satisfied. However, I really like kde better than gnome. I followed the kubuntu faq's instructions for switching to kde from gnome in ubuntu. This basically amounts to installing the kubuntu-desktop package.

So now when I log in, its via kdm instead of gdm, and I select a KDE session, but the gnome panels still appear. Is there some step I missed along the way?

Mike
