Forwarding this to the list - this is the closest conference devoted to
free and open source software.

=====================================================================

The OLF Conference is back again, and we are excited to have you be a
part of it! <https://www.ohiolinux.org/>

Started in 2003, we are the annual event of the free and open-source
community. When? November 1-2, 2019 in the Hyatt Regency, Columbus,
Ohio.

Registration is now open and starts at zero (donation appreciated) at
the enthusiast level. <https://www.showclix.com/event/olf-2019>

The Call for Presentations is open now. The deadline is Friday, August
17, but the sooner you submit your talk, the better. Details are seen
at <https://www.ohiolinux.org/call-for-presentations>. Areas where we
had talks in the past include open-source software projects,
networking, sys admin, development and community building. Our
audience consists of people at all skill levels. We look forward to
hearing your presentation.

Registration is also open for the Ohio LinuxFest Institute (OLFI)
full-day training sessions (a morning session followed by an afternoon
session with a lunch break). Held on November 1, 2019, here are the
professional training sessions:
1. Linux Professional Institute (LPI) Boot Camp
2. AWS Cloud Platform, CloudFormation, and Terraform
3. Kubernetes on Google Cloud
4. Linux Containers Internals
5. Linux Security Through Layers
6. Using Ansible to Simplify Automation and Provisioning
7. Web Application Security Testing

Like previous years, we are pleased to continue offering OLFI at a
competitive community rate. While other professional training is often
thousands of dollars, early bird pricing for OLFI is $449 (Professional
Registration) until October 1, 2019.

Requesting funding? See a sample letter that you can use to request
funding from your employer. This letter and links detailing the OLFI
sessions are available at <https://ohiolinux.org/olfi-training-2019/>.

Ohio LinuxFest is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by volunteers.
We appreciate your support.

Hope to See You There,

Beth Lynn Eicher
President
Ohio LinuxFest Corporation
