I also used puretalkusa.com which was like $10 for 119 minutes with roll over. They were an at&t MVNO. And I think I got a free flip phone with them.

Hi Stanley,

Lycamobile looks good for International calling. I use AT&T family plan for domestic US mobile phone service. AT&T gives excellent service and is not much more overpriced than competitors like T-Mobile with which Rob had such unpleasant experience. (I say overpriced because comparable cellular service in India costs less than 10% of US pricing).

I am not bound to a contract with AT&T. I buy all my phones outright. That way I don't get trapped in an undesirable contract and I am free to change SIMs when I travel abroad.

But AT&T is unsuitable for International calling due to its excessive and unpredictable cost.

I tried to investigate Lycamobile but got this error in script "Session Expired. Please try again." Perhaps this error was thrown because I am browsing from Japan.

Skype works reasonably well for International calling. I suppose I don't need Lycamobile.
