Rumors have been circulating for months that Google would no longer 
release a Nexus phone each year. If you're not familiar with Nexus 
phones, they offer 80-85% of the performance of flagship devices like 
the Galaxy S5 at a fraction of the price, and they're very hacker-friendly.

It looks like the rumors of the Nexus line's demise were incorrect. 
Google will continue to release Nexus phones even though it is 
launching "Android Silver," a certification program designed to 
showcase phones that offer a stock Android experience and receive 
updates directly from Google.

Whew! That's a relief for us Nexus fans.
