Hi Brian,
The technical part is pretty straight forward.
Maybe it is not this complicated but then again it might....
There are lots of other things to consider with your client's situation.
Here are a few:1. Compliance Requirements - will Germany's data privacy laws permit you to pull information out of the country.2. The client's needs for this backed up data,      a. consider what data recovery times they require (recovery point objective and recovery time objective etc..)     b. what level of confidence in your services they must have (this is a service level agreement)     c. and more issues like these...3. What types of security protocols are required?
