[wplug] Upgrade my Tomtom

I wanted to update my Tomtom because my maps are a year out of date 
already, but sadly they don't want me to be able to do it without 
Windows.

Instead I want to upgrade my Tomtom to Linux compatible, Free and Open 
source GPS software.

I need advice on which software to replace it with and the procedure to 
replace the software.
