Thanks that did work.

Someday I will be curious as to why I needed to manually install the keys, but that is for another day.

If you've downloaded the key files, I think you can just add them like so:

sudo apt-key add [filename]

Otherwise, I'd try looking at the Hugin project docs or asking on their forum/mailing list.
