I attended the Summit II for the Fund on April 8, 2011. There are a few
problems with their website which I think we may be able to correct.

It takes three clicks to get to the contact phone numbers.
A. Setting the numbers in a banner on top of their homepage may fix that.

B. Some of these children may not be able to read, thus will not know what the
word “contact” means. Maybe just using the word “help”.

	1. Giving them a phone number – even assuring them that the taxi or private
car being sent is being driven by a trustworthy person – may not be enough.
Some of these children have been on the street – pimping themselves or
being pimped—since the age of six or seven. Being told the person coming to
pick them up will have ID's may not be enough. At their young age, they are
already very world weary. I am not sure what the solution for this is.

	1. The older children may have committed crimes – either to feed
themselves—or to appease the criminal that “adopted” them. One pimp was
quoted as saying: “They get three days in Heaven and spend the rest of their
days in hell.”

I hope someone can come up with other ideas to solve the painful situation these
children (young and old) are in. We can supply computers, but getting the
children to the shelters for their own safety is a very different problem. Yet
it is something that needs to be in place quickly. Their lives may depend upon
it.

Here it is! The moment you have been waiting for. My latest book :Judi
Galardi's THRAE BACK ATCHA! Judith A. Galardi, M.A., M.Ed., MLIS, should be
finished soon. No, I don't know when. It is for "tweens" and up. Keep an eye
on my website at: www.authorhouse.com, enter my name or book title for further
information. AuthorHouse will be the first one to have copies so just hang in
there. It'll be finished before you know it. (At least I hope so.)
