I am locked into using both Windows XP and Linux(Fedora 7, 9, and 11)
for my work. It would be nice to be able to do a remote desktop
connection to the Linux PC from my XP desktop. I installed TightVNC on
the XP PC and enable Gnome Remote Desktop via the menu. Instant success
on the first Linux PC (Fedora 9). Both of these PC's are on the same
subnet.

So I set up Remote Desktop the other Linux PC's in the same way.
Absolutely no connection! I installed TightVNC on another PC within
their subnet and still no connection.

On the Linux PC's, the command ps -A shows the vino-server process.
Although on the good setup there is a time(?) of 00:00:43 while the
other Linux PC show 00:00:00.

I have read all I can on the net about vino and there just isn't much to
set up (unlike vncviewer).

Has anyone had success with Gnome Remote Desktop and TightVNC?
